- Preferential access to old CdE vintages as soon as they are available.

- Preferential access to events related to CdE, both in the winery or outside it.

To join our Club is totally free and with no obligation to buy wine regularly. Each experimental wine can only be purchased in 6 bottles cases. Shipping costs within the peninsula are free to purchase amounts exceeding €150.

Games are the most elevated form of investigation.

We try to convey to each bottle the freshness of the area and its weather, the landscape that surrounds us and the magic of our environment.

Each wine is a whole process of experimentation. Every barrel is a world. In fact, the way we work when we make an assembly is like a game about lots and lands which constitute, in fact, small individual experiments.

Experimental Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot 2013

The reception of our Friends of Encus has been excellent and this encourages us to do it again, now with an experimental red wine, to continue collaborating, from our vocation of wine research , both with the Red Cross and the Medical College of Barcelona.

On this occasion, we present you a wine inspired by the finesse that the mountain gives us and the complexity that only time allows, "Cabernet Sauvignon + Merlot" of the 2013 harvest.

In 2013 we wanted to make a limited production of 900 bottles of the basic Bordeaux assembly (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot), differentiating it from our Quest, adding a higher proportion of Merlot and without Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. . The idea of this research was to obtain a more velvety and round wine, without tannic edges, while emphasizing the finesse and elegance above the phenolic structure. With a 2-year aging in French oak barrels and 4 years of aging in the bottle, we have sought to further emphasize this subtlety, full of nuances, letting the wine develop towards the complexity that gives us time.

Both Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the most successful international varieties. Planted around the world, their aromatic spectrum is heterogeneous depending on the climate where they mature. Cabernet Sauvignon ranges from ripeness in alcohol in hot climates and, on the contrary, more subtle profiles in cold areas. Merlot, on the other hand, shows more volume and fleshyness in temperate climates, which can become alcoholic, and a satin texture in colder or higher climates.

In the Pyrenees, climate practice for viticulture is offset by the research and implementation of more environmentally friendly and sustainable agriculture. A way to achieve the optimum maturity (of sugars and phenols) of both varieties that are part of this experimental. Maintain vibrant freshness and pleasing elegance thanks to the acidity that partly provide our microclimate.

The long aging process in this field don't diminish potential for aging and ensures a complex aromatic profile that lasts for many years inside the bottle.

Experimental Albariño 2019

Castell d'Encus, with this wine from the Friends Club, wants to collaborate with the Spanish Red Cross and the Col·legi de Metges de Barcelona (Medical Association of Barcelona) to overcome the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 in Catalonia by making a donation of 2 Euros for each bottle sold to these health and medical institutions in the territory, tirelessly working in the front line, fighting against the pandemic. Help us to help!

The Albariño in our vineyards has a very good acidity, which gives it a freshness and high potential for aging. The grains of our massal selection are very small, and due to the aromas are concentrated on the skins, as well as the phenolic compounds that give it structure, the result is a wine with a good intensity and long in the mouth
