Pyrenees. Pallars Jussà.
Hand harvested in small boxes of 10 kg. The grapes come exclusively from estate vineyards. The wine was fully fermented in outside open 12TH century stone gravity vats, with wild yeast. 100% of this wine went through malolactic fermentation in fine grane french barrels of 225 litres, aged for 24 months.
Petit Verdot 100%

1990 bottles of 75 cl.
Spicy nose (thyme, clove), with notes of noble wood and berries.
Fresh entry, with light notes of fine leather and cherries.
Intense with a lively acidity and long lasting.
This wine embodies the conflict between acidity and tannins which is particularly pronounced with the Petit Verdot variety. This is one of the reasons why monovarietal wines of this sort are quite rare. Calcareous soils and a precise viticulture and winemaking make possible to find the balance between these sometimes antagonistic notes. This wine will have a complex evolution in the coming years.
